Stop Taking Deep Breaths.

Proper breathing has become REALLY challenging in our modern world. ⤵️

We assume the body knows how much air it needs at all times, but  breathing has become warped by chronic stress, sedentary lifestyles and overheated homes. 

I've found the majority of people with chronic anxiety are OVER-BREATHING (taking in MORE air than they need), so the advice to “take a deep breath” won't fix really anything. 

Signs of over breathing include: 

  • Tired all the time

  • Frequent sighing + yawning

  • Achy muscles and joints

  • Dizzy spells or feeling spacey / “brain fog”

  • Anxiety

  • Disturbed sleep

  • Erratic heartbeats

  • Breathing through the mouth

  • Audible breathing during rest

  • Taking large breaths prior to talking

  • Movement of shoulders while breathing
